Foreboding NEWS

Silent Servant is DEAD. Season 5 begins SOON.

Congrats to Bruck II

Bruck managed to solve the puzzle (after inadvertently pointing out my error). Congrats to him. I think he may leave more bread crumbs for you all later. Or use his squeaked out victory to take the tie for the lead (if he is devious and cruel).

Edited Week 7 puzzle

Ok, so the bad think happened. I forgot a thing and had to edit the puzzle. Bruck more or less figured it out, but was missing a piece. I fixed that. See the edited Week 7 Puzzle for the change.

Week 7: Hint 2

Hint 2: If you can find where Gozreh’s hiding, you will be off to a great start. If you find Sarenrae, you are almost done.

Week 7 Puzzle Hint

Ok, no correct guesses so far. So everyone gets a hint. And I am extending the deadline until Sunday night.

If you can find the names of the gods hidden in the message, you will be off to a great start.

Congrats Digital Mystic/Vishtal

Digital Mystic was the first to figure of the clue last week and first to earn his second tier.

Week 7 Puzzle

The old dwarf mutters to himself. Brave he was and strong…..let me sing my nonsense song:

Hezrou dunes run hot;
Ill ears ban dye;
Rare ones made ore to age.

Do you hear it, hidden in my song?

((P.S. Just to be nice, I will let you know, the clue isn’t auditory. I think the framing improperly suggested that it was and I am not so mean as to lead you astray.))

Edited I forgot a piece. I added “to age” to the last line.

Week 6 Puzzle

The shattered priest babbles incoherently as the weights bear down on him. “I will not speak his name. I will not speak his name.” As he gasps his last breaths, he whispers, “I will hide it in my words”

Six freedoms for live men, the river take the rest;
One king of a hellish prison, yet I hold another’s key;
Curved blade I bear in battle, though other curves are more deadly;
My people rise unbroken, hammered from my forge;
First to break life’s shackles, yet hungry I remain;
My gnashing maw is silent, but children crawl your world.

Born a mortal man, risen from my run;
The open-handed master, perfection shall he find;
I saw all there was to see, but not me, you see maddeningly;
My sword remains unbroken, iron in hands and veins.

My acts do not go unnoticed, a prophet’s herald once;
Four in one, or so I say, but so few will trust me.

Queen of burning dryness, an elemental figure;
Old protector of old profession, an eye for growing things;
Neither loving nor doting, but a dedicated mother all the same;
The seven-star scion, worshiped by a sloth;
A demon lord of undemon things, his wand he wields fiercely;
An empyreal lord of divine things, my library abounds.

Friendly hint: The answer is a name and a title (not 16 names).

Posted the week 5 puzzle solution

Here it is: Week 5 Solution

New puzzle goes up tomorrow (after I play some Reign of Winter…we are in the last book).
